Associate Project Manager

Be a part of the execution of our high voltage cables delivery projects
Would you like to be at the center of the transition to renewable energy? In the position as Associate Project Manager at NKT you will be part of the execution of large, global and highly complex infrastructure projects. As part of the department Transmission Project Execution, you will be working in a global and collaborative environment handling large delivery projects. Our projects contain tailor made cable systems which are engineered and installed by NKT for our customers throughout Europe. Our customers being Transmission System Operators and developers of major offshore wind projects.
 
Work with NKT’s global customer projects
In this role you will support the project manager in the lead of the project team allocated to the project, defining strategies, handling and delegating project activities, motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all activities and milestones to achieve the project priorities. 

You will be part of a team responsible for execution and delivery of assigned projects on-time, within budget, as per Contract Agreement with high focus on our quality and safety framework.

Your primary tasks will be to:
•    Handling large and mega delivery projects, be responsible for all defined parts of the project until formally closed out as contractually agreed
•    Identify, qualify, quantify and managing project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued
•    Ensure that the project follows execution processes, best practices and NKT policies
•    Captures, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project
•    Understand and monitor contracts, claims and procurement activities
•    Understand and monitor stakeholder relations
•    Ensure that the project follows and complies with company health, safety and environmental policies.

Communicative, with a solution oriented mindset
Your communication skills allow you to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders as well as building and maintaining positive relationships. You will motivate, inspire and lead project members to accomplish tasks and milestones, by providing support through both practical advice as well as action. You are motivated to solve problems and have a clear sense of right and wrong.
 
You appreciate the role of team development, and your methods and objectives are frequently grounded in integrity and respect for others. You organize your time effectively to complete projects; adhere to a structured and clear plan and deliver according to agreed plan. You view problems as challenges and take your experiences with you whenever you face a new one. You work well in roles that depend on solid accountability and coordinated collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to fulfill project objectives.
 
In Transmission Project Execution, there is a clear career path with four levels of project managers, Associate Project Manager, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Project Director.
 
Additionally, your CV includes: 

•    2–5 years experience from a project‑oriented role within NKT’s business 
•    Fluency in spoken and written English
•    Swedish or other European languages is regarded as a merit
