Help Develop Sustainable Manufacturing at NKT

At NKT, we are looking for a new colleague to join us as an Environment Specialist, supporting sustainability, environmental compliance, and environmental standards across our Czech production sites. This role connects manufacturing, sustainability, facilities management, and cooperation with public authorities, while offering the opportunity to participate in projects that have a real impact on the future of manufacturing. Coordinating Environmental Activities and Regulatory Compliance
In this role, you will be part of the Sustainability team and support environmental activities across our production sites in Kladno and Velké Meziříčí. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and contribute to monitoring, reporting, audits, and projects focused on waste management, energy efficiency, chemicals, and the circular economy. The role also includes communication with authorities and support for activities related to ISO standards and environmental legislation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and internal company requirements
Coordinating activities related to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
Preparing environmental reporting and monitoring related to energy, waste, and emissions
Supporting projects focused on climate targets and the circular economy
Communicating with authorities, suppliers, and internal teams across the organization
The position is based in Kladno and Velké Meziříčí. Regular travel within the Czech Republic and occasional travel across Europe are part of the role. You will report to the Sustainability Transformation Lead.
Independent and Communicative Environmental Professional
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, can collaborate effectively across different teams, and is able to manage multiple activities simultaneously. A proactive approach, independence, and an interest in sustainability and environmental topics are important. We value open communication, a practical mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow within an international environment.
You also have:
At least 3–5 years of experience in a similar environmental role within a manufacturing company
Knowledge of Czech environmental legislation and experience with ISO standards and audits
A university degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field
Advanced Czech and English language skills
Basic proficiency in IT tools and reporting systems
