Financial partner supporting technology and R&D decisions

NKT is expanding its Technology organization and is looking for a Financial Controller to support forward‑looking planning, transparency, and informed decision‑making. In this role, you will work closely with Technology and R&D stakeholders in a global company supporting the green transition. You will contribute to financial planning cycles, performance follow‑up, and business cases in a setting where collaboration across functions is key. Enabling financial transparency for technology organizations

As a Financial Controller, Technology, you will act as a financial business partner for parts of the Technology organization. The role focuses on planning, forecasting, performance monitoring, and financial analysis, ensuring that technology projects and activities are supported by reliable financial insights. You will translate complex activities into financial implications and support stakeholders in understanding cost, risk, and value creation across R&D initiatives.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly closings, forecasts, and follow‑up.
  • Support project and portfolio reviews with financial analysis and modelling.
  • Translate technology activities into financial impact and scenarios.
  • Support business cases for R&D investments and follow up on approvals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and tools.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Head of Global Functions Business Partnering. The role is based in Kaunas, Lithuania, and involves collaboration with international stakeholders.

Structured finance professional with collaborative mindset

You enjoy working with different stakeholders and approach topics with curiosity and structure. You are comfortable organizing your own tasks, handling multiple priorities, and explaining financial topics in an accessible way. You appreciate clear processes while also being open to improving how things are done. You value cooperation, transparency, and ongoing learning in a global environment.

You also have:

  • 3–5 years of experience in finance, controlling, or FP&A.
  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with SAP or another ERP system.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Salary range for this position is from 3900 Eur to 4800 Eur Gross.
