Process Engineering Manager

  • Category: Production
  • Location: Asnaes, DK

We are expanding our operations – join us and play a key role in our journey
Do you have solid experience in process engineering within a complex production environment? Are you an experienced technical professional with solid analytical skills, capable of leading and inspiring a diverse team while staying close to the technology? And would you like to contribute to connecting a greener world? Then this role as Process Engineering Manager could be your next career step.

At NKT in Asnæs, we are significantly expanding our production capacity by establishing entirely new production lines, while maintaining our current 24/7 operations. To support this growth, we are strengthening our Process Engineering team and are looking for a skilled and motivated manager to join us on this exciting journey.

The position calls for a consistent on-site presence to keep work moving, support the team, and work closely with internal stakeholders. You will also collaborate with sister organizations to benefit from shared knowledge, and occasional travel should be expected.

Ensuring robust, safe, and high-quality production
Process Engineering plays a critical role in our operations. The team is responsible for ensuring that all processes and machinery are capable of producing the required products safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality — right first time. As Process Engineering Manager, you will oversee, develop, and support projects focused on optimizing products, processes, and equipment across both existing and new production lines. You will play a key role in both maintaining operational stability and enabling future growth.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the Process Engineering team, including all related people management activities
  • Ensuring that processes and equipment consistently deliver safe, reliable, and “right first time” production
  • Managing ramp-up of production capacity across machine lines, ensuring safety, quality, and reliable output
  • Applying solid technical and analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities and solve complex process challenges
  • Overseeing enhancement projects and analyzing root causes to improve overall performance
  • Implementing technical improvements to optimize efficiency, quality, and output
  • Supporting the industrialization of new production lines in close collaboration with project teams

A technically strong and collaborative leader
You are a self-motivated and structured leader with a solid technical foundation and well-developed analytical skills. You thrive on understanding complex processes and machinery, using data-driven insights to identify root causes, solve problems, and promote continuous improvements.

You are comfortable working directly with technical challenges while also leading and developing a team. Your ability to combine technical skills with a methodical approach enables you to ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality production.

You play a key role in ramping up production capacity, ensuring that all machine lines operate safely and deliver consistent, reliable output with the right quality — right first time. You maintain a clear focus on safety, quality, and operational reliability across all processes.
At the same time, you are an effective communicator who can create buy-in and alignment across all levels of the organization. With your supportive leadership style, you build a trusting and inclusive team environment, enabling both high performance and continuous development.

We believe that you have:

  • BSc. in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience as a Process Engineering Manager or in a similar role
  • Construction experience
  • Fluently in Danish and English
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and relevant IT programs to support the construction work
