This role offers the chance to shape a global approach to chemical governance while contributing to the green transition. You will work across functions and countries, collaborating with teams that share a dedication to safety and environmental responsibility. Do you want to take part in building a unified and future-oriented framework for chemical and environmental compliance?

Create unified environmental and chemical governance across NKT

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing group-wide strategies for chemical and environmental management. You will coordinate compliance with EU regulations, streamline systems and processes, and ensure clear governance across all sites. You will also support local teams and enable consistent standards and reporting practices.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Develop and implement the chemical management strategy aligned with sustainability goals and EU Taxonomy.
  • Coordinate compliance activities, including REACH, SVHCs and ECHA reporting.
  • Standardise systems and reduce complexity in chemical products and suppliers.
  • Support local HSE teams with guidance, training and regulatory updates.
  • Maintain structured communication with suppliers and collaborate with procurement and sustainability teams.

The role reports to the Head of Group HSE and requires travel as needed. The location will be defined during the recruitment process.

A collaborative and structured professional with global mindset

You are a person who thrives in an environment where collaboration, structure and clarity matter. You value constructive dialogue, enjoy enabling others and bring an analytical and solution-oriented approach. You work independently, take responsibility for tasks and contribute positively to shared goals. You feel comfortable engaging with many stakeholders and navigating complex topics.

You also have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical management in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of EU chemical regulations such as REACH, CLP and SVHCs.
  • Experience working with chemical management systems such as Chemsoft.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German or Swedish is an advantage.
